The Auburn/Georgia rivalry is one of the most historic matchups in college football. And what better way to honor this historic rivalry than a Chick-Fil-A pop-up! On game day HELO created a one-day-only Chick-Fil-A on the Georgia/Alabama state border. Hosting more than 2000 people, the ‘Rivalry Restaurant’ launched with major media traction ignited by a multimedia push that included PR, socials and OOH.

Producing two :30 and :60 films for PR and social media release with McCann NYC, our spots were ultimately (based on the success of the pop-up campaign) bumped to national media buys, including an airing during the College Football National Championship Game to an audience of over 24.6M.

In honor of the 121st match-up between Auburn and the Georgia Bulldogs — two teams that share “The Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry” — Chick-fil-A is opening a temporary pop-up restaurant just feet from the Alabama-Georgia state line, where they’ll be broadcasting the game live and giving away free food.
